FAQs

1.What is online counseling?

Online counseling is similar to traditional therapy but it is done only over the phone or via video conferencing. We offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to schedule your first appointment. Your first intake appointment will be 60 minutes and individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes.

2.How much does it cost?

Average therapy sessions in New Jersey can cost up to $200 a session! That is not including the time and gas spent traveling to and from your appointment. I offer competent, clinical services from the comfort of your own home for less. I have several service options which we can go over during your FREE 15 minute initial consultation.

3.What will my sessions be like and how can I prepare?

After your FREE initial consultation you will receive an intake form to complete before your first session. Your 1st session will be a video conference which is just like face timing a friend. All you need  for your sessions are privacy,  internet connection, and if video conferencing, a webcam/camera.

4.How long will it take to get better?

Therapy can last anywhere from one session to several months. It all depends on what you want and need. Some people come to therapy with a very specific problem they need to solve and might find that one or two sessions is enough. Other people come to therapy with more complicated issues and may feel they need a few months or more to understand and resolve their issues. Other people come with long-standing problems or difficult feelings and may benefit from longer-term therapy. However, ultimately, the decision about how long therapy should go is up to you.

5.Do you take insurance?

I am in-network with Cigna and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield NJ. However, it is possible that some insurances may  provide some reimbursement for therapy session. Please contact your insurance provider for complete details.

Your information is kept private and confidential expect in the case of child/elder abuse. Our sessions will be conducted using technology that is HIPPA compliant.
